  Screenface is like an Aladdin’s cave for both professional and consumer with every conceivable shade of make-up, special effects, brushes, bags, postiche and all those trade secrets.

  Screenface was founded by makeup artist Magdalen Gaffney Danvers, who worked for the BBC for 17 years and chiefed many feature films over a career spanning 40 years. In Decemeber 2013, the then Screenface Ltd, was sold and is now under new ownership and management as 'Screenface London'.

Screenface products have been used in films for over 25 years, from Indiana Jones and Monty Python through to Harry Potter, Apocalypto, Blood Diamond and Prince of Persia. You may have also seen they products shown during a scene from Woody Allen’s Cassandra’s Dream. West End productions including The Lion King and London Fashion Week also use Screenface products.

Last week I was working with four other girls from the group. Fiona Katarzyna Kay and Francesca. We were doing research about the cult beauty product that no makeup user should be without.
Our group decided that the cult product is foundation!


We found different opinions about our favorite foundations. We also found different price range of foundations and different method of applying it.

WHAT WERE YOUR EXPECTATIONS ON STARTING OF THE COURSE?

In the beginning of the course I thought I meet a lot of people and lecturers which show me new make-up techniques and ideas.

 
WHAT ARE YOUR INITIAL THOUGHTS ON WEST COLLEGE SCOTLAND AND MEDIA MAKE UP COURSE?

I felt that course I have decided to take was the right decision and I feel that I am in the right place to develop my skills and learn new techniques.


WHAT IS YOUR FUNNIEST MOMENT OF COLLEGE LIFE SO FAR?

I haven’t had any funny incident yet but still waiting for it to happen.

 
WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING YOU HAVE LEARNED OR LEARNED HOW TO DO SO FAR?

I have learned how to make scars using liquid latex - I have never used this material before.


WHO IS YOUR MAKE UP IDOL?

My make-up idols are Pixiwoo sisters because from position of being amateurs they succeeded in the world of make-up artist.


WHY DO YOU WANT OT BE A MAKE-UP ARTIST?

I want to be a make-up artist because I follow my passion and I have decided to connect my passion with my work.
